March Card Class

Here are the cards and project we made in March :)  All of these cards and the box were cases with slight alterations...

The shamrock was coated in crystal effects to prevent the glitter from falling off and to give it a bit of a different look :)
This card was made using the bleach effect.
I cased this card from the occasions mini with slightly different colors.
This box holds A2 cards and was cased from splitcoaststampers.  Sorry i don't know who made it.
I hope you enjoy looking and please come back again :)

Happy Birthday!!

Happy birthday to my wonderful sister-in-law.  We celebrated her birthday last night.  It was supposed to be celebrated on Saturday, unfortunately she got the flu :(  At least we got to celebrate last night with some yummy chinese food and great company. :)  Here is what i made for her.  I am really excited about how it turned out, and to be able to share it with you :)  This was actually cased from Crystal  and she has a tutorial you can follow as well to see how it was put together.

For this gift card holder i used whisper white and pumpkin pie cardstock and wild wasabi, pumpkin pie, summer sun, pink pirouette and basic brown for the ink.  I also used the greenhouse gala dsp.  For stamps i used Afterthoughts, Well Scripted and Eastern Blooms.

I used the modern label to punch out where the card fits in (although if i had it i would have used the word window punch) and the decorative label punch on the front.

I added some green satin ribbon to hold it all together.  I hope you enjoy making it as much as i did.  P.S.  The birthday girl was pretty impressed as well :)

Wow..what a busy time of year this is :)

I have been busy making christmas cards and even a few birthday cards.  My husband's birthday was in November and here is the card I created for him.  I really like the stamp set :)  For this card i used Close to Cocoa, Peach Parfait and Whisper White cardstock.  I used the same colors plus Poppy Parade and Elegant Eggplant for the ink.  The stamp set is called Sweet Scoops from last years summer mini.  I added some close to cocoa ribbon and some orange brads i had from michael's.  I really like how it turned out; plain, yet cute :)

A Mix of things

I have been making all kinds of cards and these cute purses to give to some people at my work.  Unfortunately, i totally forgot to take pictures so i asked one of the ladies to take some.  So for the purses i used the top note die and the scallop die and cut a 3 3/4 in circle of dsp with the circle cutter.  For the first purse on the left i used old olive and pumpkin pie cardstock and Island Oasis dsp.  I decorated it with the Tropical Party Stamp set (clear #120081 or wood #118515) and the birthday sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes #115370.  I also used the scallop oval and oval punches.  The final touch was the certainly celery ribbon for the handle.  For a full tutorial please see this blog.  The purse on the right i used so saffron cardstock and shades of Spring dsp for the purse and pixie pink cardstock for the flower.  I used the scallop oval punch and the perfect punches stamp set (clear #120516 and wood #117022).  I also used the 5-petal flower punch to make the flower and the boho blossoms punch and clear brad to finish it off.  The card was made with chocolate chip, crushed curry, garden green and very vanilla cardstock.  I used the square lattice embossing folder for the crushed curry and stamped the sentiment with Pun Fun #115054 in chocolate chip and finished the card with certainly celery ribbon.  The picture on the bottom is what my husband made to give out as thank you cards.

Happy Birthday Tri-Fold

I thought i would add this one on here as well as i just love these tri-fold cards.  I had made this one for my mom before we actually made the card in the class I spoke of in my last post.  For the tutorial click here.

Happy Birthday

This is a card that i made at a class i was in, so i definitely can't take the credit for creating it.  I really love the tri-fold on this card though. The colors if i remember correctly were almost amethyst, old olive and so saffron.  I used the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set #111564 and the sentiment was from Well Scripted.  I used the Butterfly punch #119848 for the butterflies and added some rhinestones (these were from walmart).  For a tutorial of this card, please see here.  Another thing i really like about this card is that there are so many places to decorate and embellish.  This card could have so much more added to it, but i kind of like it the way it is.

Happy Birthday!

This card was made for my FIL birthday on June 20.  I used real red and whisper white, and sahara sand cardstock.  i used the designer series dsp for the back ground and perfect polka dots embossing folder for the accent piece.  i stamped the sentiment and picture with real red and punched out the sentiment with the curly label punch.  The sentiments were Vintage Labels and Happy Moments and both were from the sale-a-bration catalogue.

Happy Birthday!

My very first post on my blog. :) This is a birthday card I made quite a while ago, that i really liked. I used the SU butterfly embossilts die
for the butterflies and curvy verses for the sentiment. The paper is pink passion (soon to be retired) and whisper white cardstock.
